Identification - Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 315. The forewing is greenish-gray and conspicuously marked. The ante-median and post-median lines are heavy, sometimes broken. The post-median line forms a strong dash near the anal angle. Look for brown shading beyond the post-median line. The sub-terminal line is white, zig-zag. The underwing is yellowish-orange with black bands. The marginal band may be broken. Caterpillar host plants are plum, hawthorn, and crabapple.
