To identify look for bright reddish-orange below; dark gray above (head paler on females), with broken eye ring and white-tipped tail (immature birds will have light speckled breasts). The preferred habitat is open forests, farmlands, suburbs, parks, and sheltered areas with fruit on trees.

The Robin is a member of the Thrush family, and is one of the more neighborly birds.
