Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 150. Similar to the Common and Southern Spragueia, but with alternating black and yellow bars in the basal area. The terminal line is black except at the anal angle. Note the rounded black reniform spot, unique among the Spragueia species. Caterpillar host plants are chinquapin and field corn.
