Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 170. The forewings are gray. Note the rounded black spot at the inner margin. and other small black bits near the base and along the ante-median line. The yellow edging along the straight, dark post-median line maks it look double. The reniform spot is also lined with yellow. The hindwing is grayish brown with lines at the inner margin. Caterpillar host plant is black locust.
