Iridopsis defectaria (Gn.) Geometridae Hodges 6586 October 23, 2006 Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 353. The wings are mottled whitish gray, orangish-brown shading in the ante-median and sub-terminal areas. The lines are black and sharp. the ante-median and post-median lines are usually conspicuous. The post-median line is scalloped between the bulge and the costa. Wings are dark gray in melanics, but markings are normal. Caterpillar host plants are oaks, poplars, cherry and willows. |
