The forewing is somewhat orange, brown or grayish-brown in varying shades. The ante-median and post-median lines are sharp and darker than the ground color. The orbicular and reniform spots are usually present. The hindwing is usually colored the same as the forewing, but lighter. The caterpillar host plant are beans, beets, celery, and spinach. |
