Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 378. The wings are pure, chalku white with blackish shading beyond the wavy black post-median line, which continues onto the hindwing. The post-median shading is broadest toward the inner margin. Discal dots and the terminal line are black. The caterpillar host plant is dandalion.
