Caterpillar host plants are Clover, Corn, Cotton, Grass, Hickory and Tobacco

Identification: Easily recognized by the two black stripes on the thorax. The forewing is brown and grayish. White dashes extend outward from the top of the reniform spot. The hindwing is translucent white; only the two top veins are blackish. Overall wingspan is about 4.6 cm.
