Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 53. The moth is easily recognized by its gleaming white body and wings, and the lines of black dots on the forewing. The wingspan is about 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches. The caterpillar host plants are oaks, plum species, and roses.
