Identification: Covell Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 150. Body and wings are white. The forewing has two blackish costal patches (male) - the outer one merges with the general blackish shading beyond the post-median line, leaving a white patch near the apex. The forewing of the female is blackish except for two white costal patches and some white at base of the outer margin. Caterpillar host plants are Hollyhocks.
