Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 327. Similar to the Dark-Spotted Palthis but slightly smaller. The markings are usually more distinct in outline. The reinform spot is small, usually more distinct. The median line may not always be clearly visible. Caterpillar host plants are beans, corn, oaks, and yucca
