Exelis pyrolaria (Gn.)
Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 352. The wings are dark grayish-brown. The ante-median, median, and post-median lines are fine, blackish-brown, and often obscured. The forewing has a discal dot, and post-median line that angles sharply twice near the costa and inner margin. The caterpillar host plants are persimmon and common pipsissewa.
