The Florida Tetanolita is easily recognized by the pale orange reniform spot contrasting with the shiny forewing. The forewing is gray and the reniform spot will be very narrow (unlike the broader yellow spot seen in the Smoky Tetanolita). Most lines are inconspicuous; black with some fine whitish accents. The hindwing is similar in color, with dark lines and shading toward the outer margin.
