Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 326. The wings are orange-yellow, sometimes yellowish to grayish-brown. The lines are toothed, distinct to inconspicuous. The orbicular spot is yellowish if present. Look for black dots in the top and bottom of the yellowish reniform spot. Caterpillar food stuff is dead leaves.
