Identification: Corvell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 421. The forewing is orange-yellow, with blackish subapical spots at the costa and oblique median band that narrows below the costa. The hindwing is grayish-brown with shiny white fringe. The caterpillar host plants are strawberries and other low herbaceous plants and dying leaves.
