Identification: Corvell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 130. The forewing is streaked with black, brown, gray and white; transverse lines are absent. The lower half of reniform spot outlined in white, with brown shading around it. Hindwing is grayish-brown. Caterpillar host plants are St. Johnswort.
