Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 108. The antennae is bipectinate in males (serrate in others). The forewing is mixed gray and brown, variably dark. There is a thin basal dash and heavier dash in the lower median area. Note the two blackish triangular patches at the outer margin. The hindwing is whitish with heavy grayish-brown shading. The caterpillar host plants are unrecorded.
