Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 401. The wings are shiny, pale yellowish-tan, with sharp brown spots and lines. The orbicular and reniform spots are usually hollow. The post-median line turns sharply inward, then downward before meeting the inner margin. Wingspan is 1.6 to 2 cm. The caterpillar host plant is the leaves of Chenopodium species.
