Indian Strawberry is a sprawling, hairy perennual. Its preferred habitat is yards, waste sites, and alluvial woods. Distribution is throughout the Escambia region.

The leaves are alternate on the stem, ternately compound, stalked, with leaflets toothed.

The flowers arise from the leaf axil, solitary and yellow. Flowers occur in the spring and summer.

Fruit is and aggregate of achenes.
