Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 353. The wings are bluish to purplish gray, with warm brown shading in the ante-median and sub-terminal areas. Lines are black. The median and post-median lines merge toward the inner margin. Caterpillar host plants are fir, larch, pines, and spruce.
