Identification (Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 35): The forewing is yellowish brown with black shading along the inner margin and inside is a conspicuous whitish sub-terminal line. The hindwing is tan with diffuse black basal patch, median line, and outer border. The caterpillar host plants are ash, fringe-tree, laurel, poplar, and privet.
