Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 61. The forewing is pale brownish-gray with a yellow to pinkish border along the costa and inner margin. The yellowish to pinkish patch (triangular) will be at the anal angle of the forewing. The hindwing is pink with a black outer border, widest at the apex. The catepillar host is lichens.
