Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 73. The thorax and forewing are orange-yellow, speckled with brown. There will be dark brown streaks from the base to the outer margin of the forewing. The hindwing is paler, translucent and unmarked. Caterpillar host plants are marsh grasses.
