Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 164. The forewing is gray, with black, brown, and white streaks that obscure the usual pattern. Look for an outward bulge in the post-median line below the costa. The hindwing is whitish with blackish shading, leaving 2 white spots along the outer margin. Caterpillar food stuff is catclaw and willow.
