Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 126. The forewing is orange. The median line is sharply bent at a right angle. The post-median line is sharply curved. Spots are white. The hindwing is orangish with slightly darker shading. The median line is visible. Caterpillar host plants are flowering ferns of the Osmunda species.
