Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 377. The discal spots are hollow, often filled with white. The wings are yellowish or orangish-brown but not mottled. The ante-median and post-median lines are made of grayish dots. A solid gray median line is sometimes discernable. Caterpillar host plants are oaks and sweetfern.
