Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 131. The forewing is warm yellowish to reddish-brown with broken dark brown lines. There is a pinkish shading inside the ante-median line and beyond the post-median line. Note the silvery-white outline around most of the renifirn soit. The sub-terminal line is yellowish. The hindwing is grayish-brown. The caterpillar host plant is ferns.
