Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 63.  Rattlebox Tiger Moth is also known as Bella Moth, Art-Deco Moth, and Calico Moth.

The wing pattern is variable but distinctive. This is the only moth in our area with a pink and yellow forewing marked with rows of white-ringed black spots. The hindwing is pink with an uneven black border. The caterpillar host plants are legumes of all kinds; crotalaria, lespedeza, and lupines, elm trees, fireweed, plum and sweetgale.
