Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 50. The wings are whitish, powdered with light brown. The forewing sub-terminal area is sometimes shaded slightly darker. Small blackish costal marks at tops of ante-median, median, and post-median lines. Large light brown costal spot near the apex, another smaller one usually just outside the post-median line. Caterpillar host plants are pines.
