Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 105. The forewing is yellowis to dark orange-brown, with a white dot where the veins diverge. The post-median line is curved, a series of widely spaced black dots. The hindwing is whitish, sometimes with grayish-brown at the outer margin. The caterpillar host plant is grass.
