Plant is an upright, hairy annual. Preferred habitat is roadsides and waste sites. Distribution is throughout the Escambia region.

Leaves are alternate on the stem; stalked; compound with leaflets egg-shaped; no teeth and no lobes. Leaf tip is rounded or slightly notched.

Flowers are a cluster in the leaf axil; irregular in shape and form; bisexual in nature; five sepals and five petals; dull yellow to tan; six or seven stamens. Flowers occur in the summer.

Fruit is a sickle-shaped legume.
