Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, page 329. The forewing is straw yellow with variable brownish shading. Note the sharp brown lines and conspicuous brown orbicular and reniform spots. The hindwing is entirely yellow. The caterpillar host plants are sumacs.
