Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 131. The forewing is olive green to brown with obscure black lines and mottling. The ground color is yellowish-green in faded specimens. The reniform spot is white in lightly marked specimens. In darker moths, the reniform spot is filled with brown. The caterpillar host plant is greenbriar.
