Caterpillar host plants are crabgrass, beans and turnips

Identification: The forewing is pale grayish to violet brown, with even brown shading along the costa (outer wing margin) and beyond the post-median line. The reniform spot is distinct, but there is no sub-reniform. Some species have a small black spot on the inner margin. Flight times are April through September.
