Golden Trumpets

Golden Trumpets are 1/2-1 inch wide and 1/2-2 inches tall. The cap is vaguely orange-yellow or yellow-brown wsith stripes on the edges. The gills run down the stem, somewhat far apart, and yellow to orange in color. The stem is yellow on the upper portion and red-brown to white at the lower portion. Preferred habitat of Golden Trumpets is to form clusters on pine logs and stumps and at the margin of kept lawns.
