Identification Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 314. The forewing is uniform greenish-gray with orangish-brown along the inner margin below the black median dash. The lines are fine, broken, and black. The hindwing is yellowish-orange with black bands. The black border may have a narrow break near the anal angle. The caterpillar host plants are hawthorn and plum.
