Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 367. The wings are light brown with dark, reddish-brown in the forewing basal area and beyond the post-median line on all wings. The hindwing is tinted with deep yellow on the costal half. The discal spot is black. The caterpillar host plants are blueberry, chokecherry and oaks.
