Identification: Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Page 161. The outer margin of the forewing is scalloped. There may be violet-gray shading beyond the post-median line. The ante-median and post-median lines meet near the inner margin. A small orbicular spot will be white, ringed with brown. The caterpillar host plants are cotton, hibiscus, and okra.
